Jhony Mejia Perez, B.S.

Jhony is a Neuroimaging Data Analyst at RabLab, UCSF. He completed his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering at Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia. Prior to joining UCSF, he analyzed EEG, EMG, and MRI data in the fields of social neuroscience and dementia at the Social Neuroscience Research Group (Colombia), RedLat (Argentina), and BrainLat (Chile).

His main research interest is the usage of multimodal neuroimaging techniques for the diagnosis and prognosis of dementias. He is currently focused on the usage of PET imaging to characterize dementias like Alzheimer’s Disease and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. 

Outside academia, Jhony is a vivid football fan and salsa-dancing enthusiast.
