The main goal of the Consortium is to promote collaborations among investigators working on aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in US Latino/Hispanic populations to accelerate research and the discovery of biomarkers, new diagnostics, prevention and treatment.

The Consortium focuses on these key areas:

2) Cognition and assessment
3) Recruitment and clinical trials
4) Dementia care and psychosocial interventions

The objectives of the Consortium are to:

* Provide a framework to foster US collaborations among investigators to advance aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias research in Latinos/Hispanics;
* Provide a forum for the discussion, development and pursuit of new collaborative studies and research directions;
* Support the development of early career researchers; and
* Advance the knowledge of aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in the US Latino/Hispanic population to improve our understanding of disease etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment in this population.
