I am a medical doctor from Maracaibo, Venezuela, with a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Colorado State University. My research employs advanced MRI techniques to study white matter decline and plasticity in aging populations. During my Ph.D. and work with the Maracaibo Aging Study, I gained expertise in structural neuroimaging, lifestyle factors affecting white matter health, cognitive assessments, and psychometrics. Starting in Summer 2024, I will begin my neurology residency at Duke University, aiming to become a physician-scientist focused on cognitive disorders in minority populations.
