Serggio is a neurologist who cares for patients with cognitive impairment. He is director of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center’s (MAC) community outreach program, which aims to educate underserved and underrepresented communities on brain health and dementia topics, and improve these communities’ participation in clinical research at the MAC. Serggio began his studies in biology at the Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru. He subsequently earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Florida. He then earned a Master’s Degree in Physiology, Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Georgetown University before earning his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He completed a residency in neurology at Brown University and a fellowship in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry at UCSF. He is currently a clinician and clinical researcher at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center.
